This is a fun program with a lot of "cute" phrases - especially in the flirting categories, but there are a couple of flaws. First - the speakers often speek too quickly while the recording quality is so-so. This combination makes it difficult to understand sometimes. Its still workable, though. The bigger problem is that even tho they ask your gender, specific things are still NOT always flagged, especially in languages where the adjectives also change depending on who you are speaking to. This can create some uncomfortable situations if you arent careful! It wouldnt be so odd, except that this program DOES offer some gender-specific categories. These inconsistencies can trip you up, so be careful! Also note that, for example, in some of thr Serbian phrases, the spoken version appears to be Serbian but the written is actually the Croation variant. I suspect these kinds of small glitches also exist in other languages where there is close similarity and cross-understandability. Again - a minor thing but enough that it can trip you up in some situations. Overall - excellent - especially considering the scope - but a little more attention to editing detail - especially in languages with close cognates would make it even better!

The app has several languages. I would like it to say more, but being able to say "Does this smell like rohypnal to you?" in 44 languages is pretty cool.

I went crazy and decided to spend $10 on this app. but its totally worth it! Ive only listened to a few languages but they will all definitely come in handy. only things are that when I listened to the insults in Arabic, they didnt sound like they looked in the English alphabet! and they should add Gaelic and Latin to the list. even though theyre not popular theyre awesome! I dont even know what some of the others are! lol also, they should do something about the speed thing because slowing it down doesnt help it sounds demonic and its just as hard to understand!

I bought 4 languages before I realized there was a package. I love it. Ive learned phrases in several languages and put them to use. My only complaint is I had to delete the 4 languages I already bought for the 44 to work properly. I liked the quick switch of the individual apps since Id already paid

Really useful

The speed at which the phrases are spoken, while Im sure is supposed to sound native, borders on superhuman.

And fun too.

Newest version not working with IOS 6.1.3 On 4S iPhone - wont load ! Click on App just reverts back to home screen after 5 seconds -please fix ASAP !

Not happy with this new filtered version with many phrases deleted. Making it child friendly or less adult takes the fun out of it and makes it a boring app which is not what I paid for. I want a refund. Or change back to the previous full phrase version.

This app was one I wanted to like I dont it doesnt work. At all.

Offers a great selection of necessary phrases. Im using this to learn Bulgaria and it displays both the Cyrillic and Latin translations! Seeing the Latin translation has been very helpful in sounding out the words and matching the recordings.

It is hard to find i want. App is free but data is expensive ($9.99)

This app is great! It lists phrases that you actually want to use and has them logically sorted out. I bought all of the languages on sale in a $.99 pack and that is great and is going to be so helpful. I have been using the Hungarian with a friend and he says the translations are good. It helps so much that there is an option to have the text read aloud too, so it is easy to not only learn to read but also to say it as well. I am so happy I will have this when traveling/meeting new people

I personally really like this app. Yes all of the languages is a bit pricy but its a lot of languages. I like the fact that you can control the sped of the word or sentence being said and you can also but it through a loop. Whether you are seriously trying to learn a language or just trying to pass time with friends its really easy to use.

Its wonderful, but I would love it even more if it had celtic languages - Welsh, Irish, Gaelic, Cornish, Manx...

Well designed app, lots of fun to use with strangers - the flirting section alone, when you turn the screen round so the foreign language text goes big, is hilarious fun! Ive used this for several languages - the new app with all included is great! Thanks!

This is such a great value. Fun to learn a few phrases and help break the ice in a social setting. I cant recommend this app enough to a new learner or a traveler.

The Lingopal app is really first-rate and filled with useful phrases and a helpful search engine to sort through them. The only thing better would be a translator along with it!

This is a great app to learn at least the essentials (and more) of another language and very useful for travelers. I studied words and phrases prior to going to Iceland. While there I felt comfortable using what I learned. Highly recommend this app.
